Accessibility
Accessibility is a general term used to describe the degree to which a product (e.g. device, service, environment, website, etc) is accessible by as many people as possible.
In the context of a website, accessibiility refers to the ability of people with disabilities to access the content and services offered by the website.
In the United Kingdom, the Disability Discrimination Act has since October 2006 made it illegal for websites to be inaccessible to people with disabilities in the same way that a shop in a high street must be accessible.
